Who we are
fngrd. is a social participation platform developed by Abhijeet Saxena. For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact privacy@fngrd.app.
What we collect
Account: email, handle, display name, profile info you choose to add (bio, geo, profession, education, interests). Activity: polls, votes, comments, follows, groups. Device: anonymized analytics and crash reports for performance and reliability.
Why
Run the service, personalize your feed (My World), prevent fraud and abuse, send transactional email (sign-in, email confirmation, password reset), and improve the product.
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent and for lawful purposes related to running fngrd. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account or contacting us. We don't use your data for automated decisions that significantly affect you.
Who we share with
Service providers required to run the app. We don't sell your data.
Your rights
Access, correct, or delete your data at any time from Settings. To request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, email privacy@fngrd.app and we'll respond within 30 days.
Retention
We keep your data until you delete your account. Soft-deleted accounts are anonymized immediately and hard-deleted after 30 days.
Children
fngrd is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we'll delete it.
International transfers
Our primary database is in Mumbai (ap-south-1), within India. Some processors handle data outside India — PostHog (United States), Sentry (European Union), and Expo (United States) — under standard data-protection contractual clauses.
Data security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, and misuse. No system can guarantee absolute security.

The app and our site may link to third-party websites or platforms. We're not responsible for their privacy practices — please review their policies separately.
