F01 - we've misunderstood what conviction looks like.
conviction never meant never changing your mind; has always been the opposite. real conviction is being willing to destroy your own ideas before someone else has to. have killed more ideas than i've built; not because they weren't exciting, but because they couldn't survive uncomfortable questions. the hardest part isn't letting go of months of work, but letting go of the version of yourself that wanted that idea to work. ego quietly becomes part of the product. and once that happens, objectivity leaves the room. founders must fall in love less with ideas and more with reality. why? because reality has no obligation to reward effort. only usefulness. the faster you can separate your identity from your hypothesis.....the faster you build something that deserves to exist. #post #conviction #fngrd
